APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR SERIAL SPACE RESIDENCIES, SCREEN-BASED EVENTS & WORKSHOPS IN 2011

GENERAL INFORMATION

Serial Space is an Artist Run Initiative dedicated to supporting the development and presentation of interdisciplinary and hybrid art practices.

Serial Space is currently inviting applications from individuals or groups for on-site artist residencies, screen-based events and workshops in 2011.

On-site Artist Residencies*
Duration: 3 weeks
Serial Space is offering it’s downstairs studio space for artists to residencies.
Each artist is encouraged to publicly present their work in the form of an artist talk or showing at the conclusion of their residency.

Screen-based Events*
Serial Space is inviting applications from film fanatics for our screening program. In the past, cinephiles have presented informal lecture style presentations on a range of subjects from Steve Martin to 70s sci-fi. The possibilities are endless; excite and inspire us with your ideas!

Workshops*
Serial Space is calling all with an interest in conducting an informal public workshop in the space. Workshops can cover anything from instrument building, software development, cosmology, poetics, matter transport, video jamming, circuit bending, to philosophy.

*Serial Space will contribute artist/presenters fees to each successful applicant and will also arrange for professional documentation of all, residencies, screen-based events and workshops in the space.

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Applications are to be submitted as a 1 pg PDF containing the following;
• Description of what you plan to do in your residency/screen-based event/workshop
• 3 top preferences for month of residency/screen-based event/workshop

Support material (required)
• 2 pg (max) artist CV
• 5-10 digital images of previous work (residency applicants only) and/or if you wish to provide multimedia examples of your work please provide a URL.
